Humans, bipedal creatures that held the world in a polluting iron grip. They thought their advanced knowledge, and industrial minds would bring them farther than they could possibly imagine, though in reality it was their downfall. Their ever expanding knowledge, their need to know more, to be able to control more. Medical science, always was felt the need to expand their knowledge. In the year 2011, near the end of the year, a discovery that many humans had been praying for; the cure for cancer. The answer had been there all along, with a combination of two well known pharmaceutical medicines, and several amazon plants that had been found in abundance. Though, when combined with the human body, a reaction was caused, but a very delayed, slow reaction. Many of the humans took the new medicine, the first ones that had taken it had been those that where sick with the disease, close to death. They lived, and returned to good health. Though, two years later, in the year 2013, scientist discovered the horrible reaction that had been caused.

The location is the made up, coastal city of Vice. The small town is located at the edge of an old nuclear plant, that alone having cut it off from most of the rest of the world. Like all cities now, it is in shambles, the dark shadows of dogs can be seen in the gloom between the buildings. Hidden dangers lurk around every corner. Here you'll face starvation, cannibalistic dogs, a group of radical dogs that have made their own religion, and are bent on forcing it upon all others.. And, a hidden group, that rule the under grown sub-ways and the sewers. Based in the year 2030, life is hard for the canines of Vice, and many die, though the few who live make what they can out of their small existences. Will you be able to survive, and make your life in Vice, or will you perish like countless others?
